How to Fix "SECURITY RISK" when opening files with Macros in Microsoft Office
Why is this happening?
Microsoft pushed a Security Risk update for Macros, that prevents them from running on your computer unless you add the location where the file is saved as a Trusted Location.
This issue affects Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS.
Please follow the steps listed below in order to resolve this issue.
- Click Trust Center
- Click Trust Center Settings
- Click Trusted Locations
- Click Browse and select the Folder where your file is located
- Click Subfolders of this location are also trusted
- Ok
- Click Allow Trusted Locations on my network (not recommended)
- Ok
